The majority of self-winders under the vapers is now on the large, elaborately wound coils. Whether Clapton, Fused Clapton, the eye-catching alien coils etc. Taste and vapor production is unrivaled for many compared to the standard single-wire windings.
One or the other has tried for pleasure even on the special windings. A Clapton is still made relatively fast here. Anyone who has tried on the really big, knows the effort and the bulk of this task will have failed. Especially the alien wires with their impressive curved design are impossible for most people to produce.
Nevertheless, handmade windings are much more popular than any machine-made coil, since they are often much better in terms of taste and quantity of steam than the coils from the machine. Luckily, there are smart vapers dedicated to this art.

Anyone who has ever steamed a coil from master hand, will change so fast to nothing else. All coils are neatly wound and, depending on the design, with 4, 5 or 6 turns and enough foot length for easy installation.
Of course, it sometimes happens in manual work that the ends are not 100% clean cut: Here you can see where the hand of the master has previously worked and that gives the whole thing a special flair and affects the functionality in any way.
