Strawberries are not only considered the fruit of summer and love, but they also contain many minerals. In ancient Rome, strawberries were even used as a remedy for everything from depression to circulatory problems. The production of a natural strawberry flavour involves an extremely complex process, as the plant species needed for this are among the least common in the world. An indispensable ingredient of this aroma is the rare davana oil, which is obtained by steam distillation and was specially selected for this composition. Its sweet woody essence accentuates the fruity notes of the strawberry and the full flavour of wild strawberries emerges, just as you would find them fresh by the wayside: with juicy, delicately dark red flesh.
